who are we

We are Bryant & Anke, a Mexican-Belgian couple, and in January 2026 we opened our hostel, ready to share it with travelers and visitors from all over the world. For now, we live on site and are the only permanent staff in the hostel, besides you, our future volunteer! We're pretty relaxed and easy going with our guests and we like to make people feel comfortable, as if they were at home. We run a small, friendly, comfortable and creative hostel in the heart of San José del Cabo, located at a 15-minute walk from Plaza Mijares in the touristic historical centre & only a 10 minute bus ride away to the best beaches in the area. We aim for our hostel to be a place to relax and chill, feel comfortable and at home, while at the same time being a hub to meet new adventure buddies, explore Los Cabos & experience the best of Baja California Sur.  

who are we looking for

As a small, new hostel, we're looking for volunteers to help us grow, build a community, and offer the best of Baja Sur to our guests. That's why we need truly energetic and passionate people to help us keep this place running smoothly and maintain our high standards of customer service. Our goal from the start has been to become one of the highest-rated and most beloved hostels in Los Cabos and all of Baja California Sur. We hope you'll want to join our team and help us achieve this goal! We believe that excellent customer service is one of the most important reasons behind a hostel's success, and we're committed to maintaining a high level of service in all our guests' experiences and interactions. We're looking for friendly people who share our passion for travel and food, enjoy meeting other travelers, and can speak conversational English and Spanish. We only accept cool, fun, hardworking, friendly, and active travelers. Why? Because you're the heart and soul of our hostel!

For the volunteering positions, we are specifically looking for 1-2 solo travelers or a couple above the age of 25. Please feel free to apply for the volunteering position if you feel that you’d be a great fit, even if you do not meet these parameters. As the title states: these positions carry a 1-month minimum commitment. This is very rarely flexible. If you cannot stay for at least 1 month, please think hard before applying.

Since we are a very small hostel, our volunteers need to be able to perform a variety of tasks, such as:

• Carry out reception duties: help with check-in & check-out

• Give tours of the hostel after check-in and explain the workings of the hostel to new guests

• Keep the hostel shiny, sparkly clean (this includes toilets...)

• Be responsible for cash & counting money

• Housekeeping & laundry duties (change bed sheets, fold washed sheets, ...)

• Keep plants alive

• Help prepare breakfast

• Give information to other guests and socialize with them ;)

• Lead some of our free activities (or invent some)

• Enjoy your time in Los Cabos!

Volunteers work 20 hours per week, divided in shifts of 5 hours: 7h00 - 12h00 / 12h00 - 17h00 / 17h00 - 22h00 and additionally, carry out one free activity a week. In general, shifts are spread out over 4 days with 3 days off, but this can be discussed. We hope for you to fall in love with the Baja Peninsula, just like we did, & want to give you enough time to explore the area and make unforgettable memories of your time in Los Cabos.
